The headstones in the Gaines Cemetery were transcribed on April 10, 2000 It is believed that Malinda and John Stone's daughter Ursula Caroline Stone b abt. 1832 d before July 1873, wife of John C. Henderson b abt. 1827 d before 1870 are both buried in the Gaines Cemetery but have no headstones. John Stone, husband of Malinda Stone b 1790/1800 d c. 1841 in Jefferson Co. AR was buried there. Frances I. Ware m1st Peter Powell and they have a son, John A. Powell (1835-1874) who is buried in the Bethlehem Methodist Cem., Marshall Co. MS. Charlene Ash McGill
