Concord Primitive Baptist Church
On the 15th day of November, 1852, James R. Pugh and his wife, Matilda acknowledged that they bargained and sold to James Lowe, deacon and his succession in office, for the use and benefit of the Predestinarian Baptist Church at Concord that holds to the doctrine of special atonement and unconditional election, two acres of land for the full sum of twenty dollars. One acre being in the NW part of the NW quarter of S22 -T1 - R2West and one acre in the SW part of the SW quarter of S15 - T1R2West forming an oblong square east and west. The deed was signed----James R. Pugh and Charity M. Pugh.
James Lowe's name is mentioned in the October, 1838 minutes of the Tallahatchie Primitive Baptist Association's second annual meeting. He was affiliated with the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church at that time. His name appears along with Stephen Harrington on a deed dated December, 1838, as a Trustee of the New Hope Meeting House.
No other information on this Church other than it is no longer in existence.
